I watched a news story about an Afghan refugee who came to Glasgow seeking asylum. He had nothing, was 17 years old, alone didn’t speak English. Jeez how scary must that be. Think about that.
I mean I’ve travelled a fair amount but I had resources, money, freedom, contacts and a home to return to. The guy was so humble and smiley that I was in listening awe of his story
He had such resilience and strength of character was full of hope, vigour and positivity.
It restored a little bit of my faith in human nature.
